Brain and The Letdown are heading to Rutland, Ohio on March 30th to play Skatopia!
 Its a large, anarchic festival with skateboarding and live music.

Skatopia is open 24/7 and is free. However you will be asked to pitch in on farm chores.
Skatopia is in the middle of nowhere, right outside Rutland, Ohio. There are several ways to get there, but make sure you bring plenty of gas and a printed map with you. DO NOT RELY SOLELY ON A GPS!
On your way to Skatopia, there is an Exxon Station. If you haven’t already, gear up there. A few miles past the Exxon Station, you’ll hit Rutland city limits.
WATCH OUT FOR RUTLAND COPS! The village has 401 people who want you to pay their city bills with speeding tickets. During Bowl Bash and Backwoods Blowout they will setup ILLEGAL blockades and perform ILLEGAL searches. Once you’re out of Rutland, the speed will pick back up.

Hat Goblin/Brain: Virgin Insects EP

Last night we recorded this 4 song set with the Hat Goblin, Chris Bading. He wrote all the songs, played guitar and bass, and sang. MBD played drums and synth, C. Russell Lewis played drums, and Captain Missouri produced.

"Virgin Insects EP" is available now on cd and will be available for MP3 download in due time.

Absinthe Dreams in Technicolor

We are pressing about 15 tape copies of The Letdown's c46 "Absinthe Dreams In Technicolor". Nick recorded this by himself inside a small apartment, and brought me the tape this summer. This is an INCREDIBLE album and (my personal favorite). Sounds range from lofi pop, to atmospheric ambience, to jazz and back again. You can pick up a copy for $3 when you come to the show on March 17th and see The Letdown play. sounds abound, home of the letdown.

february 1st 2012 and its like 70 degrees in cincinnati. we are now on archive.org. links will be posted with the albums on the artist pages. all our tracks will soon be available in the mp3/oggvorbis format, in the public domain, for the duration of that websites existence. all tapes will now be $2 and cds will be $3.

Brain and Smile Bomb will be playing at the Brain house, 2841 Marshall, on the nite of 28 October.

We will be distributing a very deluxe "Brain Volume 1 May 2008-2011" CD Compilation at this event.

In the nearest possible future, a C. Russell Lewis solo tape will be released and distributed online/in actual physicality
